An authorised Zoho partner in Dubai and across the UAE and GCC doing the part that decides the outcome: implementation and consultancy, not just the licence.
Buying the licences takes an afternoon. Closing the month on Zoho takes scoping, migration and a delivery team that has done it before.

The difference between software and success
Roughly half of ERP projects fail to deliver what was promised. Almost none of them fail because the software could not do it.
They fail for reasons that look mundane in a status report and expensive in a board meeting.
Requirements were never written down in the language of your business process, so the configuration matched a demo rather than a business.
Nobody owned data migration until go-live week, and opening balances were signed off under time pressure.
Compliance was treated as a report to be produced later, not as a constraint on how the system is designed.
The team that sold the project was not the team that delivered it, and the handover lost the detail.
The work itself
What a Zoho partner actually does
Four different jobs sit behind the words “Zoho partner”. They carry different costs and different risks, and proposals rarely separate them. Knowing which one you are buying is usually the decision that decides the outcome.
Licence supply
Subscriptions, user counts, renewals and an AED invoice. Useful, and roughly a day of work, but it tells you nothing about whether the system fits how you operate. A reseller has no reason to ask, because the licence sells either way.
Advisory
Mapping your entities, approval limits, costing and statutory reporting, then deciding what the platform should be, as a written requirement your FD and auditor can both read. Sometimes that ends with us recommending Sage or Dynamics 365 instead of Zoho.
Implementation
Configuration, chart of accounts, tax treatment, migration, integrations, training, go-live and the first two month-end closes. Most resellers subcontract this. Every implementation we sell is delivered by our own consultants along with the training.
Help desk support
A named consultant and a ticketed help desk after go-live, with agreed response times, month-end priority and changes logged against your AMC. Most licence-only resellers route support back to Zoho, which knows the product but not your configuration.
Applications
The Zoho applications we implement in the UAE
The twelve applications we are asked for most often in the UAE. Most of our clients start with two or three of these and add the rest over the following year, which is a sensible way to spread both the cost and the change.
Zoho One
The whole operation on one platform and one subscription: CRM, finance, HR, help desk, inventory and analytics sharing a single record rather than emailing spreadsheets between them. The suite most UAE groups standardise on once the first two or three apps have earned their place.
A pipeline the managing director can trust at the Sunday meeting, quotations priced from live stock and cost, and a handover to finance that does not involve re-typing the order into a second system.
FTA-compliant VAT accounting with reverse charge on imported services, zero-rated exports, exempt supplies and designated zone treatment configured per entity, then consolidated at group level in AED.
Service contracts, AMC renewals and response times tracked per customer, with the engineer’s time costed back to the job so service margin is visible rather than assumed.
Landed cost across multiple warehouses and free zones, serial and batch tracking for traceability, and stock valuation that ties to the trial balance without a month-end adjustment journal.
Budget against committed and actual cost per project, timesheets that feed revenue recognition, and variation, retention and subcontractor certification tracked for contracting businesses.
One board pack across entities and currencies, pulling from Zoho and from the systems you are not replacing, scheduled to the managing director’s inbox on the third working day of the month.
Visa and Emirates ID expiry tracking with escalation before the renewal window closes, probation and leave policy by entity, and onboarding that hands payroll a complete employee record on day one.
Vacancies, agency submissions and candidate pipelines in one place, with offer approvals routed by grade and the accepted candidate pushed into Zoho People rather than re-keyed before their visa is started.
WPS salary files in your bank’s required SIF format, end-of-service gratuity accrued monthly under the UAE labour law rather than calculated at exit, and leave balances that reconcile to the ledger.
Email and list management wired straight to CRM, so consent, unsubscribes and campaign response sit on the lead record and marketing spend can be read against pipeline instead of open rates alone.
Staff claims, per diems, mileage and corporate cards with approval limits that follow your delegation of authority, and recoverable VAT separated at the point of capture rather than at quarter end.
Consultancy, implementation and support from a UAE-based Zoho consultant team.
Consultancy
Process review and platform selection before a licence is bought. The deliverable is a scoped requirement document your board can approve against, not a slide deck.
Implementation
Configuration, chart of accounts design, tax treatment, approval workflows, testing with your own team and a go-live plan tied to a month end rather than to a calendar quarter.
Data migration
Opening balances, customer and supplier masters, stock and open documents out of Tally, QuickBooks, Sage 50 or Excel, reconciled and signed off before go-live rather than during it.
Integration
Bank feeds, accredited e-invoicing service providers, payment gateways and the systems you are keeping, including Sage and Dynamics 365 where they stay in place.
Support and Help Desk
A named consultant, agreed response times and an annual maintenance contract that covers changes as your entity structure, reporting lines and compliance obligations move.
Training
Role-based sessions at your office in Dubai or Sharjah, with recorded walkthroughs and written process notes for the people who join after go-live.
Compliance by design
Built for the UAE, not localised afterwards
Four things decide whether a UAE finance team can actually live in the system. We design for all four during configuration, because retrofitting any of them after go-live means reopening the ledger and re-testing everything downstream of it.
VAT and FTA compliance
Tax treatment set at item, customer and supplier level so the return is built as you trade rather than reconstructed at quarter end: 5% standard rate, zero-rated exports, exempt supplies, reverse charge on imported services and goods, and designated zone rules for SAIF Zone, JAFZA and DMCC entities. Return-period reporting mapped to your TRN structure, tax invoices carrying the required particulars, and the audit trail intact if the FTA asks for the audit file.
WPS payroll
Salary Information Files generated in your bank’s WPS format with the correct establishment and labour card identifiers, so the transfer is accepted the first time and salaries do not sit in limbo. End-of-service gratuity accrued monthly under the UAE labour law rather than calculated at exit, air ticket and leave provisions carried in the ledger, and payroll journals posted per entity and cost centre so payroll reconciles without manual entries.
E-invoicing readiness
The UAE mandate runs on a Peppol-based model through accredited service providers, which means it needs clean master data long before it needs a connector. Incomplete TRNs, inconsistent tax categories and free-text unit codes are what fail validation. We assess your master data against the PINT AE requirements, remediate it, and connect Zoho to an accredited provider. This is live work for us today across Sage, Dynamics and Zoho clients.
Multi-entity and multi-currency groups
A common chart of accounts across entities, inter-company transactions identified at source and posted both sides, eliminations applied at consolidation, AED as reporting currency with revaluation at period rates, and one set of group management accounts. Built for holdings that run a free zone entity, a mainland entity and an offshore one that agree on nothing, including their financial year practices.
Pick the route that matches the size of the change
The same software supports both, but the delivery model, the price and the length of the project are not comparable. Choose on the complexity of your entity structure and data, not on the number of users.
Route one: licences and a guided setup
Faster, lighter, fixed scope
For a single entity, or two, with straightforward VAT and under roughly fifty users. Licences in AED on one invoice, a configured chart of accounts, opening balances migrated and reconciled, and your team trained on their own data. Measured in weeks rather than quarters, and priced as a fixed fee so there is no open-ended consultancy line.
It works because we are not inventing anything. The configuration follows a UAE template we have built many times, and the variation is in your chart of accounts and your approval limits.
Fixed-scope setup with a named consultant from kick-off to handover
VAT treatment, WPS payroll and bank feeds configured before handover
Opening balances migrated and reconciled to your last signed trial balance
Support contract available from month one, no minimum term on consultancy
Discovery first, then a plan your board can approve
For multi-entity groups, significant inter-company volume, integrations to systems you are keeping, and a board that wants to see the plan and the risk before it releases the budget. Discovery produces a written requirement document and a platform recommendation, then delivery runs in phases by entity or by function so no single phase carries all the risk.
Each phase has its own migration, testing and sign-off gate. If a gate is not met we do not move to the next phase, which is the difference between a delayed phase and a failed project.
Requirement document and an honest platform recommendation, Zoho or otherwise
Phase plan with migration, testing and user acceptance gates
Consolidation, eliminations and group reporting designed up front
Our consultants through the first two month-end closes on every phase
Job costing that shows the real margin per work order once scrap, rework and imported material at landed cost are included, instead of a standard cost nobody has revisited since the last audit.
Distribution
Price lists by customer tier, credit limits enforced at order entry rather than discovered at collection, and stock across free zone and mainland warehouses visible in one view.
Service-based
Business setup consultancies, accounting and audit firms and other service providers: engagements tracked from proposal to invoice, fees and government charges billed separately, and time and utilisation per consultant visible before the retainer is renewed.
Contracting and project-based
Work in progress, variations, retention and subcontractor certification tracked against the contract value rather than against the invoice, so the cost-to-complete is current.
Event management
Each event run as its own project with a budget, supplier commitments and client billing milestones, so margin is known before the venue is released rather than weeks after the final supplier invoice arrives.
International legal firms
Matter-based time capture and billing across jurisdictions and currencies, client and matter trust balances kept separate from firm income, and disbursements, WIP and realisation per fee earner visible before the bill goes out.

Abaj Contracting LLC
ContractingZoho Books
Moved off Tally onto Zoho Books. UAE chart of accounts, VAT treatment and opening balances migrated and reconciled, so the finance team closes on a system built for how a contracting business actually runs.
HR, payroll and finance brought onto one connected Zoho setup: WPS-ready payroll, employee records and the ledger talking to each other instead of sitting in separate spreadsheets.
The full client lifecycle (intake, matters, billing and reporting) rebuilt on Zoho One, so the practice runs on one platform instead of a stack of disconnected tools.
A Zoho-only firm knows one platform deeply, and for some businesses that is exactly the right buy. Here is the difference stated plainly so you can decide which one your project needs, rather than discovering it during implementation.
A Zoho-only specialist
Deep product knowledge on every Zoho release, edge case and API limit.
Every answer to “is Zoho right for this?” is yes, because there is no second option to sell.
Frequently an overseas delivery team behind a small Dubai sales office, with UAE compliance learned on your project.
Little to say about the Sage or Dynamics system you are migrating from, or integrating with.
Abacus IT Solutions
Authorised Zoho partner, and also implementing Sage and Microsoft Dynamics 365, with 700+ businesses across the three platforms since 2003.
We will tell you when Zoho is the wrong answer. That conversation costs us a licence sale and saves you a failed project.
A UAE company since 2003 with consultants based in Sharjah and Dubai, and VAT and WPS work done hundreds of times before yours.
We can integrate Zoho with the ERP you are keeping, because we implement that ERP too.
Start with a discovery call, not a demo
Forty-five minutes with a consultant who has implemented for UAE groups. We will map your entities, VAT position, payroll obligations and reporting needs, and tell you what we would actually recommend, Zoho or otherwise.
No licence quote is required to have the conversation, and you will leave it with a clearer scope whether or not you work with us.
How long does a Zoho implementation take for a UAE company?
A single entity with clean data and standard VAT treatment is typically four to eight weeks from kick-off to go-live. A group with several entities, inter-company transactions and integrations to systems you are keeping runs three to six months, delivered in phases so no single phase carries all the risk.
The variable is almost never the software. It is how quickly your team can confirm requirements, produce the data and sign off migrated balances. Projects that slip usually slip on those three things.
Is Zoho Books accepted by the FTA for VAT filing?
Zoho Books supports UAE VAT requirements, including compliant tax invoices, standard, zero-rated and exempt treatment, reverse charge and the FTA audit file. What decides whether your return is defensible is the configuration rather than the product: tax treatment on items, customers and suppliers, designated zone handling for free zone entities, and reporting at TRN level.
We set that up during implementation and walk your team through the first filing period with them, so the first return is produced by your people rather than by us.
Can Zoho Payroll produce a WPS file our bank will accept?
Yes, once it is configured with your establishment details, labour card numbers and the exact file layout your bank requires. We also set up monthly gratuity accrual under the UAE labour law, leave and air ticket provisions, and payroll journals split by entity and cost centre so payroll reconciles to the ledger without manual entries every month.
Will Zoho handle the UAE e-invoicing mandate?
Reporting under the mandate goes through an accredited service provider rather than directly from your accounting system, so the real question is whether your data can pass validation. Missing TRNs, inconsistent tax categories and free-text unit codes are what fail.
We assess your master data against the PINT AE requirements, remediate it, and connect Zoho to an accredited provider. This is live work for us now across Sage, Dynamics and Zoho clients, which is a different position from a firm that is waiting for a connector to be released.
We have five entities. Can Zoho consolidate them?
Each entity keeps its own books, and group reporting is built on a common chart of accounts with inter-company transactions identified at source, eliminated at consolidation and reported in AED. That works well for most UAE groups.
For heavy inter-company volume, complex cost allocations or statutory consolidation requirements, a mid-market ERP may be the better fit. We will say so during discovery rather than after go-live.
What does it cost, and how is it priced?
Two separate lines. Licences are per user per month, billed in AED, and depend on which applications you take and which edition. Implementation is quoted against a defined scope: a guided setup for a single entity is a fixed price, and a group programme is priced per phase after discovery.
We do not quote implementation before we understand your entity structure and the state of your data, because that number is always wrong and correcting it later is how projects lose trust.
Can we keep our existing ERP and use Zoho alongside it?
Often that is the better plan. Groups keep Sage or Dynamics 365 for finance and manufacturing and add Zoho for CRM, HR, expenses and field service, integrated so data is entered once and moves between them. We implement all three platforms, so the recommendation is not shaped by what we happen to be licensed to sell.
What happens after go-live?
We stay through the first two month-end closes, because that is when the real questions arrive and when a system either earns the team’s trust or loses it. After that, an annual maintenance contract gives you a named consultant, agreed response times and a budget for changes as entities, reporting lines and compliance obligations move.
